 At Rise FC, we believe great environments are built by great coaches.

That’s why we intentionally invest in the development, education, and support of every coach within our club. Our goal is not simply to fill teams with coaches — it is to build a coaching culture centered on leadership, collaboration, mentorship, and long-term player development.

We believe the quality of a player’s experience is directly connected to the quality of the coaching environment surrounding them. Coaching is more than organizing practices and managing games. Our coaches are mentors, educators, role models, and leaders who help shape the confidence, character, and future of every player they work with.

 Unlike many clubs that form teams first and find coaches later, Rise FC follows a coach-first model.

We only form teams once the right coach has been identified — someone who aligns with our club values, development philosophy, and commitment to creating positive experiences for players.

This ensures every team is led with intentionality from day one.

 Our coaches are expected to prioritize:

• Long-term player development over short-term results
• Positive communication and accountability
• Age-appropriate learning environments
• Confidence-building and resilience
• Leadership development on and off the field

 Rise FC coaching methodology is grounded in evidence-based practices aligned with U.S. Soccer principles and long-term athlete development models.

Our coaches receive guidance and support in areas including:

• Session planning and organization
• Guided discovery learning
• Technical and tactical development
• Communication strategies
• Building positive team culture
• Coaching female athletes
• Injury prevention and workload management

We believe consistency across the club creates a stronger developmental experience for every player.

 Rise FC coaches are encouraged to:

New and younger coaches are paired with experienced mentors who provide ongoing guidance, encouragement, and support throughout the season.

 Rise FC is committed to helping coaches continue their growth within the game.

• In-house coaching development sessions
• Leadership and communication training
• Mentorship and networking opportunities

We are especially committed to helping remove barriers for women pursuing coaching opportunities and increasing the number of female coaches within the game.

 Rise FC coaches receive consistent support and communication from club leadership throughout the season.

This includes:

• Parent and player feedback evaluations
• Support with challenges and problem-solving

 Coach development at Rise FC extends beyond current staff members.

Through our Rise Within Pathway, players are introduced to leadership opportunities early and can eventually transition into mentorship and assistant coaching roles within the club.
